The Camden area is steadily working on drawing in new industry to ensure continued growth for the community. The Chamber, City and County Government, the Ouachita Partnership for Economic Development, and other organizations and individuals are dedicating time and energy into this project. With a skilled workforce and available facilities, Camden is the ideal place for industrial prospects wanting to locate in a growing, progressive area.
For instance, Highland Industrial Park in East Camden is a privately owned industrial park whose tenants employ over 4,000 people and include hi-tech Department of Defense and Fortune 500 companies such as Aerojet, Lockheed Martin, Arquest, General Dynamics, Esterline, Spectra Technologies, Arquest, Armtec, National Technical System, Day & Zimmerman and Raytheon to name a few. Parts of the Patriot Missile, as well as the GMLRS (Guided Multiple-Launch-Rocket System), key elements in Operation Desert Storm, were manufactured in Highland Industrial Park. After visiting our area, you’ll see why such reputable companies have made Camden their home.
